  • Wicklow Gaol Paranormal Investigations Take on a New Look

In April 2009 The GHI Team visited Wicklow Gaol over a 48 hour period and in July in their Ghost Hunters International TV programme confirmed what many knew, that the gaol is one of the most haunted places in Ireland.

In August 2009 Psychic Medium Angie Freeland and her psychic husband Keith, took up residency in Wicklow Gaol as its Paranormal Team. Over the last 7 months Angie and Keith’s Paranormal Investigation “Hear Their Story” has been attended by hundreds of people, believers and sceptics alike seeking to decide for themselves whether

Wicklow Gaol is in fact haunted. Almost without exception those spending the night in the gaol with Angie and Keith experienced phenomena that has defied logical explanation. Even confirmed sceptics have left the gaol declaring that they are “having to rethink”.

Now Martina Robinson, manager of Wicklow Gaol, Angie and Keith Freeland are delighted to announce that Paranormal Investigations in Wicklow Gaol will take on a new dimension from May, 2010. The paranormal investigations at the gaol will be hosted by a number of world class psychic mediums whose range of skills and capabilities will mean attendees will experience communication with the spirits in the gaol in different and fascinating ways. Those who have already attended a paranormal investigation at the gaol will, as they decide to re-explore the paranormal activity within the walls of the gaol, find that new experiences overnight will reconfirm their beliefs that ghosts really do exist and that Wicklow Gaol is the place to experience their presence. Those who are brave enough to be a part of Wicklow Gaol’s paranormal investigation experience will take away unforgettable memories and experiences difficult to ever forget.

Meanwhile Angie and Keith’s exploits can be followed as they take up their places in the Irish Ghosthunters Team.

Angie & Keith will be returning to Wicklows Historic Gaol in June next and again at Halloween, as they have a huge following in Wicklow do book your places early!!!

Jailer Jack Brings Psychic to tears at Wicklow’s Historic Gaol 20th May 2010

Last week one of Ireland’s most renowned psychics has been brought to tears by spirits at Wicklow’s Historic Gaol.
Mike Fallon (aka the Sandman) was overcome by the spirit of Jailer Jack, who has been giving the prison’s former in-mates a hard time.
Earlier this month, the Sandman started leading night-time paranormal investigations at Wicklow’s Historic Gaol along with top Irish psychic, Louise Kings, who he has worked with for over 15 years.
The two have been overwhelmed by the level of spirit activity and have made contact with a number of the Wicklow Gaol spirits. Spirits who have come through to the duo to date include: the overpowering jailer Jack, the spirit of a monk in cell 13, a 13 year-old boy called Kevin and a young girl called Grace.
The Sandman’s powerful sensory ability means he can feel the emotions of the spirits and interpret events they experience hundreds of years ago.
“On every visit to cell 13 emotions come welling up inside - but I have learned to control them a bit more.”
The fear that Jailer Jack inspired in the prisoners makes the grown man cry as he leads the investigations.
“Jack would visit the cell at least once a day. He was a very frightening figure who stood almost 6’5” tall. Everyone was very frightened of Jack. “
The spirits respond to the call of the Sandman and Louise:
“On our visit last Saturday night, the presence of a child called Grace was very strong. She reacted over and over to my call for her to respond. The whole group heard it – Three very light, very low knock. We knew she was there.”
“Louise and I first met Grace two years ago on our first visit to the haunted jail in Wicklow. As I walked around I felt something pulling at my clothes. Louise also saw her and felt her presence. On one occasion as Louise was sitting in the area they call the ship, someone took a picture of her. When we looked to the picture there was an orb and there was a clear picture of the little girl in the orb.”

Wicklow Historic Gaol has been confirmed as one of the most Haunted locations in the Ireland verifying the testimonials of the Gaol’s staff and visitors who have experienced phenomena that defy logical explanation.
“Hear their Story” is a unique opportunity to visit the gaol overnight when paranormal activity is at it’s peak accompanied by experienced medium/psychics and Gaol Team. “Hear their Story” will allow you hear some of the stories from those who have been a part of the gaol’s sad history as a part of an organised paranormal investigation.

“Hear their Story” is held monthly on a Friday or Saturday evening from 9pm to approximately 3am. Refreshments are provided throughout the night. The vigil will include the following:
• A brief overview of the Gaol’s history.
• Instruction in how to use paranormal investigation equipment.
• Psychic awareness exercises to improve your psychic receptiveness.
• Gaol walkabout with medium
• Small group vigils in selected “high energy” locations.
• Intergroup sharing of vigil experiences.
• Closing psychic circle.

Some Psychics use some of the following in investigations and you may have the opportunity to take part in the following activities:
• Table tipping.
• Table and glass.
• Seance.
• Automatic writing.
• EMF and IR Thermometer recording

Important! Spirits and spirit do not mix! We want to make sure that you and others get the most out of your paranormal investigation experience at Wicklow Gaol. With this in mind you should be aware that we will not permit individuals to take part in a paranormal investigation whilst under the influence of alcohol. During the investigation you will be working in total darkness or torchlight only for most of the time. If you have consumed more alcohol than you could legally consume to be fit to drive, it is likely that, with your senses heightened in total darkness, you will experience things that are more likely to be associated with the spirits you have consumed than the spirit in the gaol! It will not be very pleasant for you or those around you and could place your and others safety at risk. We hate to turn people away from our doors but we will do so if you turn up for an investigation whilst under the influence of alcohol. It will be embarrassing for you and for us if you are turned away so please respect our polite request.

Please do bring your own torch if possible.
