Wicklow Gaol is an unforgettable journey through an original prison building, telling the stories of the men, women and children imprisoned here under British rule over two centuries of turbulent history.
Suitable for all the family, the fully-engaging audio-visual experience features holographic appearances of the Gaoler and characters from the prison who share their stories of the times.
| Gates of Hell Virtual Reality Tour– Irelands Premier Virtual Reality experience, lasting 19mins 45secs. Guest are transported back in time & immersed 360 degrees in 3 unique stories from the Gaol history, set in authentic cells in the Gaol building. It is mutli generational & available in English, French, Spanish. After the V.R experience guest are then free to walk around the actual Gaol and engage with all the exhibits / information.
General tour –On arrival guests are meet by a guide in costume, who will give a brief introduction. The guests can then avail of free multi lingual audio handsets to follow a self guided route through the gaol. Quiz sheets available for children & free Prisoner Release Forms on completion of tour. |
